Ha! Well, about a year on from our last post! What's been happening over the past 12 months? In short a lot but at the same time not too much...
Last year was spent designing and building walls which are just about on site now. We have had a lot of enquiries to deal with and all the day to day boringness of getting a new business up and running! Now things are getting settled we hope to write more often and start looking at moving things on.
Our big news is that today saw the first steels for the great new climbing wall at the Skinners School go in. We hope to have this finished soon ready for it to receive the climbing surface. This is a brilliant moment for us as we have been working hard on this for the past year and it will be our most complex structure to date.
We are also nearing completion on 3 other walls which we hope to fill you in on as they get finalised, and also the website.... Aah the website....
The Latest News From Karma Climbing
Here you'll find the latest news from Karma, information about new projects and sneaky peeks at our new products. We also have team blogs so check those out as well for information about the team.

Reach bouldering update.
The first routes on the new section of wall have been set marking the completion of the first phase of the bouldering area we will be constructing.
The team and a few helpers have set a hand full of new routes to get you all going on the new angles. There is plenty of room for more and loads of opportunity for some brilliant climbing. The orange boulder will be receiving a fresh coat of paint in the next month so the whole area will look really good.
As anyone who visits the new wall will see there is a rather large unfinished space behind our new construction. Don't worry, this all has a master plan and once we have the go ahead yet more wonderful angles and volumes will be appearing, watch this space!

Time Flies...
So, its the middle of January already! Did you guys have a good christmas and new year? I hope so! We have been really busy recently so apologies for the lack of updates.
The run-up to christmas was filled with loads of planning work for some new and really exciting projects we hope to be involved with. They are still on the back burners for the time being, when we know more we will let you all know.
The new year has been quite hectic! The Reach is drawing a lot of our time at the moment. The first phase of some new bouldering is almost complete! We have installed a new section of wall alongside the existing bouldering on the mez. This will eventually be climbable on both sides but for the time being it's single sided. We hope to have the ply finished off in the next couple of days with the paint job happening soon after. The pictures below show our new creation, it's a little different from the images we pinned up at The Reach but we think it's better!
The people that have seen it in the construction process have given us some positive feedback which is great, if anyone else has any comments to make get in touch. Good or bad your input inspires us to push ourselves further!
In other news we have confirmed that we'll be sponsoring an event coming up at The Arch climbing wall. We won't steal their thunder by telling you all the details so check their site and keep an eye on the climbing press.
That's all for now if you want to leave us a message you can through the web site or our facebook pages.
Peace
Karma.

Hurraaah! The new T-Shirts are here!
So our latest batch of Team Karma T-Shirts has arrived!
These are really quite good! Why?
Well, they are made from 70% organic bamboo and 30% cotton, the cotton helps them to maintain their shape in the wash. Bamboo is the most sustainable fabric at the moment and this is primarily due to its super quick growth rate, it requires far less water than cotton to grow and it's natural anti-bacterial properties mean that the fabric doesn't hold bad odors like a normal cotton T - I should know, in Font last month I wore one for ten days straight! I smelt pretty bad but the shirt passed the nose test with flying colours!
The other big pull of Bamboo is the feel and quality of the fabric. The fibers are so fine that they create a material with very silky qualities, you can have a light and airy garment which keeps you surprisingly warm!
The team have had the shirts for a while now and they are proving to be a really big hit! The only criticism we've had is that there have been no lady shirts, so we got some printed. They will be on sale in the shop for £20 as soon as we get the last bits in place, Karma pink for the mens and Karma blue for the ladies. If you would like one sooner get in touch and well take your details.
Oh! Ps. These are also Fair trade and trucked rather than flown.

We're not web designers!
Well, we're not web designers we're climbers! After hours of looking around for ways to make our site, blog and shopping cart all look the same I have decided not to. Having been pointed in some very useful directions by some helpful people we met recently we are going to use sites like blogger to remotely host all the bits we need to get up and running quickly. So we are going to be getting all the blogs up and running along with the shopping cart in the next few weeks. This also means that a slight overhaul of the main site will be happening ready for all the fancy other stuff we have planned.
Also arriving this month is our first batch of t-shirts and a new fingerboard. As they arrive we will post updates about them.
